Villa Selvatico as an example of integration between agricultural and tourist activities

On October 30th, about fifty students from the Master's Degree in Landscape Sciences at the University of Padua, accompanied by professor Mauro Varotto, came to visit Villa Selvatico da Porto.

The purpose of the visit, which also had other local realities as its destination, was to introduce students to an agricultural reality that also provides a tourist service, all in a historical-landscape context consisting of both the sixteenth-century villa and the surrounding territory of the centuriate Agro.

The set of several landscape elements such as the historic residence, the Roman Centuriation and the Tergola river, was highlighted by the teacher, in particular in relation to their connection with the productive reality of the agricultural company. Many questions from the students, particularly interested also in the tourist aspects of our activity.
